A-bombed Tree

Black pine
(Shukkeien garden)
  2 Kaminobori-cho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima (Shukkeien garden)

  (2018.5.4)
  I knew there was a black pine tree from the bombed tree, but I couldn't shoot because I didn't know the location.
With the new sign, the place was finally found.
It is a tree shape that looks like warping and shows the characteristics of Japanese black pine.

  Shoot at different distances: full view, middle view, close view, close-up.
The trunk pattern is clear and looks energetic.

In Japanese gardens, pine trees are komomaki in winter.
Komomaki is a pest control method in which woven straw is wrapped around the trunk.
Since there are few colors in winter, a plant called manryo with red berries adds color to the Japanese garden.

(2023.1.22)
The early-blooming plum blossoms in Shukkeien Garden have started to bloom,
and the surroundings have started to feel like spring.

 <How to visit>

Please check the map on the left.

Enter Shukkeien and head for the northern river.
After passing through the ginkgo tree, which is a tree that had been bombed, and when you arrive in front of the river, turn left and walk a little, you can see the hill on your left.
